From the "TOTAL SCREAM" File: YOU MUST SEE THIS VIDEO!!!

This video, about two close buddies - a Pit bull named named Spike and a kitten named Visa - shows their loving friendship mixed with epic clashes to the sounds of Guns N' Roses singing "Live and Let Die." Please take a few minutes to watch it. You won't regret it. The footage syncs perfectly with the music. It lifted my spirits right up and made my day. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Hilarious Debate: Should Animals Be Doing More for Animal Rights?

The animal rights debate is usually so serious and weighty, and what often gets lost is any humor. That's why I've posted this hilarious video from the Onion called, "Should Animals Be Doing More for Animal Rights?" Check it out - it's not long (only about two minutes). There were several moments when I almost fell out of my chair laughing. The entire panel seems to agree that animals should be doing more to fight for their rights. The silly commentary is a terrific spoof on these inane Sunday-morning talk shows. Sadly, I can see the real-deal Talking Head Pundits saying similar things on "legit" programs. So this spoof, actually, isn't very far off.

Wonderful Cartoons Provide Food for Thought...

This is a wonderful video compilation of Dan Piraro's vegan and animal rights-themed cartoons from his syndicated cartoon panel Bizarro. Born in 1958, Piraro had been an artist and musician for years and began drawing Bizarro in 1985. Like Gary Larson's enormously popular cartoon panel The Far Side, Bizarro often incorporated surreal or dark or edgy themes. By 2006, 250 newspapers were regularly running Bizarro, so the cartoon was getting out to a wide audience. Piraro has long considered himself to be a liberal with progressive politics, and in 2002 he became a vegan. Veganism and animal rights issues are frequently incorporated into his cartoons. When you watch this video, you'll see a true artist - and a true humanitarian - at his best.

Never argue with an ibex... It makes a fool out of you and pisses off the ibex...

This video is positively hilarious! It shows a man arguing with an ibex - and the ibex doesn't like it one bit! The ibex keeps grunting angrily and spitting at the guy. This poor fellow doesn't want to give up and he keeps arguing, but he never seems to win the ibex over to his side. Right up until the end of the video, the ibex seems fed up, as if saying, "Get this clown outta my face!"

Have a look at it if you get a moment. You'll get a real hoot out of it. I hope the man eventually gave up on trying to convert the ibex to his side. He was fighting a losing battle, I'm afraid.

You will love this!!! I promise!!! :)

Watch this video. It's a minute long. IT IS AMAZINGLY FUNNY! It's a clip from The Tonight Show of a fantastic little dog busting a bunch of balloons. It truly is one of the funniest things I've ever seen. I'm so happy to post videos like this one from time to time. Believe it or not, I get really, really tired of blogging about depressing stuff. And this video cheered me right up!

Sometimes, You Just Gotta Laugh! :D

This is a hilarious scene of Sacha Baron Cohen's outrageous character Ali G. Check it out! Ali G interviews animal rights activists and a woman with a hedgehog. It is so damn funny, like everything else Sacha Baron Cohen does. He asks all kinds of stupid questions, and I know that some sensitive souls might not like his "mouse in the microwave" comments, but the key to remaining committed for the long term to a set of ideals such as veganism or animal rights is to have a good sense of humor.

Incidentally, all of the Ali G episodes - which also includes the alter egos Borat and Bruno - are every bit as funny as this clip. Whenever I'm feeling depressed, I put Ali G in the DVD player and guess what? It cheers me right up...

Vegan "Humour" - British Style (hardy-har-har...)

The British tabloid The Sun published its "Top 10 Funny Vegan Jokes" (they inserted the word "funny," not me). A few of them are mildly amusing, although they all sound like the kind of jokes that a vegan version of Henny Youngman might tell on the rubber tofu "chicken" circuit.

Here they are:

Q: Why did the tofu cross the road?

A: To prove he wasn't chicken.

Q: How many vegans does it take to change a lightbulb?

A: Two, one to change it and one to check for animal ingredients.

Q: Why does vegan cheese taste bad?

A: It hasn't been tested on mice.

Q: What did one vegetarian spy say to the other vegetarian spy?

A: We have to stop meating like this

Q. What do you call a vegetarian who goes back to eating meat?

A. Someone who lost their veg-inity!

Q. What do you call a militant vegan?

A. Lactose intolerant.

Q: What do vegan zombies eat?

A: Graiinnnzzzz

Q: What's a vegan's favourite chat up line?

A: If I said you had the body of an all-natural, organic-living, animal-loving, environment-nurturing, whale-saving sex machine, would you hold it against me? Please?

Q: What do you call a vegetarian with diarrhoea?

A: A salad shooter.

Q: Why did the vegan cross the road?

A: Because she was protesting for the chicken, man!
